Happy New Year! After all the Christmas celebrations and endless cold weather- you need some serious TLC. Nourish your skin during the Winter months with the very best products for the season. It’s all about protection and hydration, let’s get to work!
Facial Cleanser – Eve Lom
I’m a huge fan of Eve Lom and find her herbal balm cleanser a real comfort when its cold. Melting away make up, cleansing, exfoliating, toning and hydrating. With a gorgeous blend of essential oils, this award winning cleanser is a serious celeb favourite. Placing a warm muslin over the face after applying cleanser, draws out all impurities – and is exactly what you need after exposure to rain and wind. Perfect for a good New Year detox and then regular use. The original and best – and suitable for all skin types. Long lasting and you can see results straight away.

Upping your vitamin C intake during the cold weather really helps your skin fight free radical damage. Use a brightening serum and a face cream – we love Ren’s Brightening Serum packed with Vitamin C and melanin-inhibiting enzymes which plumps the skin with hyaluronic acid. £35. After late nights and continuous cocktails your skin will thank you!L’Occitane’s Immortelle Cream is gorgeous. Infused with Vitamin C and their signature Immortelle oil which boosts collagen production. Bellis Perennis (daisy) extracts brightens and evens out skin tone. January is the ideal time to start using a brightening cream. Use regularly in the run up to Spring. £43
Central Heating and the outdoor elements can cause havoc with your skin. To combat any redness, dry patches and sensitivity, while intensely moisturing, look for creams with super soothers. Evening Primrose, Avocado Oil and Cucumber are wonderful. These Winter skin savers feel good and do good! Evening Primrose oil is perfect for irritated skin, avocados are a serious super-food – with essential fatty acids and b vitamins and Cucumber have long been used for sensitive types with their cooling effect.
Ole Henriksen-Nuture Me- £41 – John Lewis – Evening Primrose Oil and Chamomile to calm. Cushions the skin with vitamin protection. Feels wonderful.
Antipodes – Avacado Pear Night Cream – £33 – Selfridges – Gorgeous cream with superior restorative qualities of 100% pure avocado oil. Also contains calendula and manuka honey to soothe – while potent antioxidant Vinanza Grape neutralises free radical damage.
Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Daily Calming Moisturiser – £14.99 – http://www.onlynaturals.co.uk/ Cool and very soothing. Packed with rejuvenating vitamins.
I also LOVE Icelandic brand SKYN. Their range of creams really soothe parched Winter skin. Their Arctic Balm was my favourite – instantly hydrating and nourishing. It’s serious stuff – harnessing cryogenic technology from the Arctic with a blend of herbs that fight free radicals.
Bliss 24 Heaven – £24 – SUPER rich body cream with wonder ingredient lactic acid which melts away flaky skin cells for incredibly smooth skin. £22.60 –
Kiehls Creme De Corp – £10 – the stuff of legends! An amazing blend of cocoa butter and sesame oil. Sinks in FAST. Leaves your skin feeling like silk.
