Winter Pastel Cool

A BIG Trend for A/W 2013 is Winter Pastel. All those pretty pale colours from Spring/Summer are sticking around for the colder weather.  Designers have used loads of pale pink and soft blue in their collections, so add a warm piece to existing items for a perfect Fall update.

Where Summer pastels are often paired with other brights and sometimes edge towards neon, the key feel here is glacial cool. Choose one shade and wear head to toe or  team with winter white – think pastel washed with a hazy mist of snow. Assessories work so well here – a sleek white clutch,  or  icy blue satchel, white fur collar and lots of jewellery! Cool silver, diamonds and chunky white gemstones…..

The New Hair – Ecaille!

The hottest new hair trend is ‘ecaille’ – one of those dreamy sounding French do’s that adds instant chic. This doesn’t disappoint. Literally translated – it’s Tortoiseshell…..a gorgeous mix of golden and bronze perfect for Autumn. Soft multi tonal highlights for all hair colours, weaved naturally and hand painted.

This new technique from the Queen of colour Jo Hansford is super wearable and just gorgeous! It’s a grown up ombre with a classy feel.

Ecaille works beautifully on all hair colours and can be adapted to match your skintone. For brunettes, the process marries two different depths of lights with warm chocolate tones or for a cooler feel – Ecaille matt with ash tones.

For blondes – Winter blitz lights adds bright flashes of blonde around the face – perfect for grown out Summer hair  and brightening up a tan  – with vanilla or Icelandic blonde tones against your natural colour.

If you just need a quick fix to warm up  and richen your shade – go for the Colour Voila –  a brilliant non permanent treatment to add fabulous healthy shine.

Whatever you choose – the result is a stunning all round multi-tonal and elegant finish for winter. Just perfect for post holiday hair that needs a sleek look.

Senior Colourist Jaclyn Smith says ‘Ecaille is a healthy and glossy update for Ombre fans of those who felt it was too stark for their style. Ecaille gives hair a soft, multi-tonal look without any harsh lines to compliment your natural tones.’
