After a busy week I have finally made time to make over the candelabra I bought at a flea market last summer, it was seriously rusty and in bad shape. I felt very inspired after drinks at the SLS Hotel in Hollywood with friends last night and I decided on the theme for my make over.
Spray painting is one of the easiest ways to transform any object, this is what you will need to get started
What you will need to get started:
Sand Paper or Wire Brush
Spray Paint in your colour choice
1) Clean and dull. Sand down any glossiness, paying close attention to any chips and dings. Remove dust with a dry tack cloth
2) Prime. It helps to seal and smooth uneven surfaces and helps paint to adhere, ensure you get the right colour too so it doesn’t show through. Let it dry according to the can’s recommended drying time, which is usually one to two hours.
3) Spraying. Hold the can according to the instructions. Usually, 10 to 12 inches from the surface and spray repeatedly in one direction — back and forth.
4) Add Pearls. For this I re-strung vintage pearl necklaces and draped them around the arms.
The Finished Piece
I love it and hope you do too 🙂

When styling for the red carpet event I like to make sure that my clients dress colours will pop on camera when photographed and flatter their body shape.
Here is a look I recently styled for my client actress Virginia Williams from US Networks Drama ‘Fairly Legal’. I knew that it was a Victoria Secret event and guessed that there would be a ‘Pink’ carpet too.
I think that she looks fabulous, what do you guys think?
